There's no hard and fast rule for whether a phone will work or not after being washed. Some do, some don't. Back to the insurance again I think, if it gets washed it gets replaced.

Yet to get a "wet one" back to life.
Used to go thru a few when i was on the motorbike, a nice old Belstaff type jacket used to get humid inside and the condensation build up killed the phone. That was only in the winter though and I was commuting from Leicester to London everyday 245 mile round trip everyday!! That lasted a yr and i gave up and moved back lol
