Anyone have an idea what weight an Escort van can tow ??

We have just bought a cherry picker and thinking of towing it with an escort van.
I towed it a few times last year with my other Honda accord no problem at all.

This is the picker

You mean the Red escort van i saw in manchester today, should pull that easy.

How much did the cherry picker cost you ? we got offer one about £1600 last year but the yearly checks cost more than to hire one when we need one.

Depends on the model.

The 55 1.8D pulls a Towing Limit  665 (Kg):

The 55 1.8tD pulls a Towing Limit  850 (Kg):

The 75 1.8D pulls a Towing Limit  465  (Kg):

And the 75 1.8tD pulls a Towing Limit  650 (Kg):

206 will pull the picker...... (what van)

Quote
Towing Limit(Kg):   1100

the escort weights must be for an unbraked trailer?

my advice would be buy the same type of van......

now if you own your own picker (been toying with a van mounted type for a long while) its the loler cert which cost the money?

Been thinking of a van type here too, we pay about £250 to hire and only really use them for Manchester, might be cheaper to get a tow bar and pay one of you mancs instead.
