We have a Net2 system spread over 5 sites with prox readers fitted (some external on entrance doors and gates/barriers). We have been asked to replace the prox readers with fingerprint readers. Can anyone recommend a quality reader that is suitable for internal/external use that is compatable with net2

Can you use a different protocol on Net 2 ? I thought Paxton will only let you use their own readers?

Key point to look for is the Bio reader has a weigand/C&D output.

All have their weaknesses.

Don't expect miracles from a fingerprint biometric.
(that's polite way of saying most are toot.).

Paxton have a couple of papers on compatible biometric readers on their site.
We used an Ingersoll Rand one with a Net2 last year.

They work fine in the summer, bit of coldshire and go tits up if not shielded.
Outputs can be intergrated into anything.

My views are mine, like them or not most often they are right.

further to this topic,

I'm looking for an OEM reader which can be built into a custom faceplate - can anyone recommend a UK based supplier able to offer technical support for integration into other products?
