Every bank holiday we'd go down the front and watch the fights, my mate had a walk on part in quadraphenia in his parka. There were some really good custom scooters around back then dont see them at all nowadays, its all gay pride and naked bicylists

Disco's, casino's, Motown music, Pernod, denim flares, platform shoes.

......... and then petrol price hikes, introduction of the national speed limit "as a temporary measure", traffic wardens .... it was the decade the government decided motorists were easy revenue.

All the Man City fans will be wearing flares at the Cup Final - to remind them of the last time they achieved anything. 001_tongue

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, beer in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!"
