To be honest im not a fan of risco either but i do use their wisdom and 595 for all my wireless installs.

The wisdom is sound but the 595 is a bit sketchy.

Nothing wrong with G.tech one of the easiest panels ive ever come across and i come across it everywhere (my dad has one). I am even considering the ProSYS for us.

come on spill the beans - thats a cop out if ever i read one " was going to buy then i remembered they fit gtec .." , remember we fit them exclusivly yet i dont like them either

Back to the original question: I always thought that if you were not insured in your own name but had been on a company policy, as long as you could provide proof of that policy (either the policy with your name or a letter from the company) then the insurance company would provide you with the relevant No Claims Discount on your new (own name) policy.

its like the problem i had - might not want employer to know he needs insurance ?

lol, i don't mind, the saving is huge, did it with two years no claims and it was almost half

you had that problem angus??

introductory no-claim discount for van?  no can't see that being pulled off

arron you got a car insured in your name? if so amend policy for work use, if chav passion gti passion wagon maybe a time for diesel rep mobile / astra estate

there little chance of cheap van insurance with no ncb at 21

Had the same thing when I started Phelps Systems. My previous employer gave me a To Who It May Concern letter saying I was on their insurance for 3 years and never crashed the car.
Tesco then gave me 3 years NCD which was later transferred to our mini fleet policy with Norwich Union.

I did the same, after wanting a car i used the proof of no claims from the company and got 5 yrs NCB.
