Bad news. I fancied getting one of these. Jag XJ:

I had one 10 years ago in Leeds. They are too big for the roads down here so I've resisted having another one ...... but I really fancy one now, but bombshell...... My garage isn't long enough! Jag XJ's are 16.5 feet long and my garage is only 15.5 feet.

Rats, rats and triple rats! So either I do without, have the garage rebuilt or move house.

Not that easy. The road at the front of my house quite often is OK, but sometimes there is nowhere to park. My garage is at the back, accessed from a service lane and doesn't have a drive.

We called them an eight foot ... but no, not like that. This is a rough lane with the backs of our houses at one side and open fields to the other side.

My wife is in favour of option 2; have the garage rebuilt. But it seems a hell of an expense just cos I want a Jag.

Jaguar XF full road test specification from the Channel4 car review web site 4Car. ... Dimensions. Wheelbase, mm: 2909; Length, mm: 4961

4 961 millimeters = 16.2762467 feet

... so apparently it won't, and I don't want one of them anyway ...... I want a XJ.

Sorry I calculated the metres into feet wrong, I want an XF but I dont have the £33K they want for one (Its nearly as much as I paid for my 1st house!) I am looking for a new car though Ive nearly got my jag upto 100k (taken me 3 years to get from 41K to 95K  no)
