I was fishing in the Lake District, small Carp lake just outside Keswick when a Tornado ( fighter, b4 you lot get funny Tongue) came over a little higher than this nutcase.
Never heard it until it was overhead! Then the noise was unbelieveable, and no one caught any fish the rest of the fuggin day!
Later in the week two F14`s had a "duel" over Conniston Water as we were on the ferry, amazing sight.

Class.

Yeah, when the Tornado "appeared" litteraly out of thin air I almost fell out of my chair and into the lake.
Some of the locals were pissing themselves as they are used to it. Apparently the fighter pilots do it on purpose. Why not, if you have the skill and are not going to bend it enjoy yourself.

Not the same but a m8 lends me his bike when hes down this way Honda SP2 1000cc vtwin, nothing special till you hear its got 10k`s worth of magnesium wheels a full race HRC (Honda Racing Corporation) BSB engine (British Superbike race series) is insured for 47K. If I drop that puppy i`m even more poorer Cheesy
As it is it wont keep the front wheel down below 3rd gear, and the carbon brakes mean I keep doing stoppies! Last time at Ace cafe pulled off and did a 1500mtr wheelie without even trying, got a load of applause, I was shitting myself in case I flipped it. And i`m not one for stunting either, on a motocross track fair enough, not on the road for obvious reasons.

Over 100 F-35s are on order and we'll have 160 Typhoons when they're all built, so don't worry, we still have far more planes than we need, with lots of new stuff on the way (Total cost, 30 odd billion?). Something like only 10-15% of current stock is actually being used.

But do we really need that many fighters when our ground forces are struggling to do what they are asked?

Saw a recent picture of about 40 Harriers in mothballs.
They could be on active service heck.

As for the planes, nowhere to sea launch them though, unless we give the frogs a BJ.
