mind that 1000 yrs back the danes were there to give an idea of how to speak with a hot potato in your mouth.
i can read danish/norse but i can not understand it. though i don't speak swedish natively. native coldshirish swedes do understand danish with amazing accuracy. still danish/swedish are considered different languages.

The topic had drifted onto the finer parts of the English language, grammar, etc. Have a look again with that in mind. Accepting of course it was quickly typed out for forum, not an Eng Lit finals exam.
