I was asked this question yesterday, "If you could give just one peice of advise to someone starting a new business, what advise would you give?"
After a short pause I came up with what I consider to be a good piece of advice, but i thought it was very interesting and I'd like to see what you guys would say in response to that question .......

Too much stress can't be good for you.
My mates dad ran a very successful alarm company only to keel over at 58. He was constantly stressed.
Me, I don't know the meaning of the word

easier said than done,

start a business which requires a capital investment & have your own funds to operate it rather being dependent on loans.

this is different  to being a tradesmen & using the family car your handtools & TSI for knowledge ?

you need to explain that more

if I where scaffolder (for example) I'd need a yard or home big enough to accommodate a wagon & thousands of pounds of poles & boards which I'm paid to put up & take down & gain rental whilst there in position & be unable to to do without having to pay somebody else some sort of wage

an "alarm man" can be working out the boot of a car for little better than beer money,

It`s TUBE, ask a Scaffy if he slings up poles he`ll hit you in the gob with a podger! (look that up if you want:P).
Tried that for 6 months, then got the opening into the security industry. Big rickett!

My views are mine, like them or not most often they are right.
When they are wrong, you did not read the answer correctly.

I get it, but how does that relate to giving advise to starting a business?
