However in this instance, I am going to sing their praises; or to be more percise one of the products they sell.

Emma`s Country Cakes.
Rock Buns

Maybe you know them as Rock Cakes.

They taste exactly the same as my Nan`s home made ones ( I know this is my taste, but others may know what I mean).
Tried for years to make them as she did, never have.
Found these and thought have a try. Memories came flooding back......still like nan only use Lurpack slighlty salted butter.
Wow, was like stepping back to childhood tasting them.

Any others get a freaky food moment and step back in time?

Ps 4 in a pack, going to let the other two get slightly stale then butter them.

Another childhood thingy, lived by a bakery.
Hot crusty fresh crusty bread.....................used to fight the,my mates for the first loaf. So hot we had to juggle it home!

Bakery? Bakery? I just lived in an oven .... and we had to share it with 2 other families.

i remember when i was at school the spar on the way used to bake fresh bread, used to get a small baguette to eat en route to school still e=warm with real butter, couldet beat it, unfortunatly that shop stopped doing its own bread about 15 years ago :-(
