Nah he was there for a while as it suited him at the time. A m8 got him a start there. He did a few things. Owned his own decorating business with a m8 who died in a car crash, so that ended. Lorry driver HGV1 and PSV (coaches). Tiler, then his mum (my nan) got really ill so he was her primary carer for the rest of her life. Then copped Motor Neurone Disease. 5 yrs they gave him, almost to the day .............he scummed.
I digress, Grand dad was a sparks. Worked for Osram so more of a design thing than "house bashing". So we have always had some sort of electrical background so to speak. Hence a big box of relays and pressure mats, contacts to play with.

I wandered into the electronic side from being a locksmith. Wandered into that by being asked to help fence an empty council estate for refurbishment. A hole digger. Boss of locksmiths said I was a good worker and took me on after the fencing contract ended. Took an intrest and virtually self trained myself in locksmithing. And was rather good, but it bored me. Call out was superb in the late 80`s early 90`s. £1000 a week just in overtime. Then changed company after 14 yrs and was introduced to alarms and access control. From a slight "electronic" background this really intrested me. And strove to learn as much as possible, get some quals and try and be the best in what i do. And I think I am pretty good at it. Tried to go self employed but chose a wrong time, financially, family wise and indeed a downturn in the trade for a while. So was safer to be employed. Regret it now.
Bastid legs doing my head in. Had offers but as I still cannot offer 100% I refuse to accept them. Roll on the pain management and consultant visits end of this month.

Excellent, sorry I was busy earlier in the day to miss a cuppa. Did`nt mean to get you off the tools, but as you know was in the vicinity later that day.
Did you take the lad to the curry house? Got to try that one myself one day, living closer to it than you and not using it is embarrassing !!!
