Due to the current climate and lack of funds to stuff myself silly without any higher costs. I have just (going to have to  get the terminology right here).Seeded my first little pots of tomato, runner bean, strawberry and coriander.
All grow in pots then take to garden ( Roof Terrace here, as in other thread STFU if ya been here. Its a roof and gets sun!)
Could be fun, however its not an instant fix lol.
Will be 3 months till I reap what I sowed, unlike the 13 and 15 year old sons.............thats going to be a lifetime ( Jeff, got any appernticeships going?)  of funding.

My "nan" bless her heart used to grow her own veggies. Always tasted better when picked and cooked within 5 mins. Although I was told to pick em or go hungry ( why do i still love her memory? dah  we all know why) so I  always did the picking-meant of course I got the better slice of meat, hehehe not silly even then!

So back to the point, anyone else grow or are thinking of doing so. I know the allotments here in London have more applicants than plots.

I have a green house and fill it most years, mostly just tomatoes but sometimes cucumbers and a few other bits. Cherry tomatoes are my favourite and I usually grow "gardeners delight", they are so sweet scoffed off the plant.

Good man, love Cherry Toms.
I use em for all sorts, the best would be hard to describe.  You probably have more uses for them than me.
But, a (when working obviously) lobster and crab mix on a base of iceberg a homemade sauce with whole cherry tomatoes.
Life cannot be better with the above a few friends and a fine wine.
