Im trying to find out how others are fastening their ladders to them. Basically I need to know if the astra short rails (front to back on the roof) are good enough to hold a decent set of ladders or am I going to need to get long rails which is an additional cost option.

If you get a photo of his roof that would be champion.

was gonna say he has a custom looking trukrax system where the ladders drop down the side but Mr H has kinda gone 1 better, lol

Mine has the rails, i have roof bars that are clamped to the rails normally £90 in car shops but got them for forty quid, ill see if ive got a link somewhere.
