We do our handover meter reading sheets on the lap top using Excel.

We print off a copy on site for the system records and store a copy at the office

i want my spread sheet to work out standby hours

So here go's

Lets say K5 = load no mains

and K8 =  Battery Size

i want to make excel do this:  Sum=K8/0.K5 giving me approx standby hours.

if the load is 500ma then it needs to be 0.500 in the formula.. Huh?

I am not very good with excel.

But the above wont work, Any ideas on how to do this

use brackets

if K5 is 500 then that is realy 0.500

so
 =(K5/1000)

xls added so upload away
but
Capacity in Amp / Day Current in Amps = Standby Time

this is very approx and needs factors for aging and a correction factor as all A/h rating assume a 20 hour discharge
