Have been using some 8 core from Enterprise £12.00 per 100m. On commissioning we are finding the ohm's quite high.
Last week we put about 50m of 8 core to a fire door and a DT adjacent to the fire door. One cable was the cheap stuff and one cable was CQR.

There was less than 2m difference in each run. The cheap stuff was 7.2 Ohms and the CQR was 3 Ohms.

Just go's to show cheap cable is made of crap.

depends. Its a lottery. I tried them a couple of years ago and was pleased with the first couple of 1000 The i got something not even resembling alarm cable and shiped it back. We buy from Cometech and occasionaly they have tryed to unload ventcroft on us. Otherwise its fine. Even has the measurement on the cable like cat 5.

Enterprise tried to push this on us, it is copper clad aluminum we had. There was a small sticker on it, comtech flogged us the same stuff I now refuse to use it. At £12.00 a drum it is expensive crap.
