Do you mean using those guidance notes as a point of reference in completing the FRA?

If so yeah and the licenced premises ones.

You using the PAS79 format?

I could e-mail you a hotel FRA  I've done if it helps.

PM me you e-mail and I'll send it as an attachment in word format.

Ha ha, no mate this is for me to direct the customer to down load, to prove im not making it up about having the fire alarm inspected and tested.

Im trying to come up with a letter or CD to hand out to customers who have not got a clue.

The trouble with the on line info is that its not easily accessible, its bad enough for the people in the know, let alone those who havent the foggyest.

The governments website is something along the lines off,

www. communities.gov.org.uk/fire/firesaftey/ and then guides or FAQ page, what a palarva.

The BFPSA one is quite clear, but how long is that going to there, when the fia get theirs up and running surely that will go??

How about a website then james??

I was going to have a go at mine this week and have a liks page, but like every week run out of time.

This sounds like one of those places where they tout there place around trying to find someone who will tell them what they want to hear .... namely that they can ignore the regs.

..... and unfortunately if they try long enough they will find an Alan or a Colin who will tell them what they want to hear...... "just test it yourself, you don't need a fire company" ..... then everybody will be happy, until it all goes wrong.

Recession?   I thought about it, and decided not to take part.

I dont think its quite like that, ive not spoken to the owners yet.

Ive been meaning to get round to doing something like this for ages now because the majority of the public just havent got a clue. I think places like this when shown whats expected of them will toe the line and more work/ another contract for me.
